Lollapalooza Announce 2017 Lineup And Returns Even Greater Than Before
The great alternative music, arts and culture festival juggernaut known as Lollapalooza is returning for another year and as in the past, plans to take over Grant Park and the Chicago club scene for another summer. Officially starting August 3rd, the 4 day event will bring in talent from around the world. This year with plans to be larger and greater than ever.
The official line up as now been released. Throughout the almost week long residency, Grant Park and Chicago’s hippest venues will be visited by some of today’s hottest talent around far and wide as well as some from right here in our own backyard. Here is a partial down breakdown.
Thursday August 3rd: Highlights
Muse, Lorde, Cage The Elephant, Wiz Khalifa, Porter Robinson, Liam Gallagher, Migos, Spoon, George Ezra, Capital Cities, The Drums, A-Trak, Temples and Atlas Genius.
Friday, August 4th: Highlights
The Killers, Blink-182, DJ Snake, Run The Jewels, Foster The People, Ryan Adams, Phantogram, Tegan and Sara, Crystal Castles, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, The Pretty Reckless and The Lemon Twigs.
Saturday, August 5th: Highlights
Chance The Rapper, The XX, Alt-J, Kaskade, Vance Joy, Banks, Mac Demarco, Live, Royal Blood Alvvays, San Fermin, and Highly Suspect.
Sunday, August 6th: Highlights
Arcade Fire, Justice, Big Sean, The Shins, Zeds Dead, Tove Lo, Milky Chance, Grouplove, London Grammar, Charli XCX, Car Seat Headrest, Joyride and Barns Courtney.
Kidsapalooza, the hang out for the youngsters returns as well with Tim Kubart & The Space Cadets, Lucky Diaz, Q Brothers, Sleepy Mna and more including School of Rock Allstars.
And of course there will be the after shows. Those have not yet been released, but you can bet they’ll be just as varied and as always swide spread throughout Chicago. Stand by for more details on those as we get a little closer.
