A Summer Without Lollapalooza? Not A Chance. Ain’t No Stinkin’ Pandemic Gonna Keep It Down. Announcing Lolla2020. A Weekend Long Virtual Experience. COVID Concerts.

Looks like Lollapalooza is going to make an appearance in 2020 after all as Perry Farrell and camp announce a virtual-palooza that includes a litany of Perry fronted bands like Jane’s Addiction, Perry / Etty project Kind Heaven and reunions from Porno For Pyro! This will be in the form of prerecorded footage from presumably past Lolla performances, but they also claim there will be special guests and performances peppered throughout the weekend. Here’s the official release from the festival of festivals.

Lolla2020 is here! We are commemorating this year’s festival weekend with Lolla2020, a free four-night broadcast event kicking off this Thursday, July 30 at 5pm CT, exclusively live on YouTube.

Featuring classic Lolla sets and brand new performances from 135+ artists including Paul McCartney, Chance The Rapper, OutKast, Arcade Fire, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Metallica, Lorde, Kehlani, Alabama Shakes, Run The Jewels, LCD Soundsystem, H.E.R., Tenacious D, Tove Lo, Ellie Goulding, Vic Mensa, Kaskade, Alison Wonderland (Live Set), and many more.

Lolla2020 is proud to partner with and raise awareness for the Arts for Illinois Relief Fund, the Equal Justice Initiative, and When We All Vote.

In between sets, Lolla2020 will feature conversations important to the Lollapalooza community from Perry Farrell, Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot, LL COOL J, Selema Masekala, and more.

Full schedule out this Wednesday, July 29. Click here to subscribe to Lollapalooza’s YouTube Channel.
