Alan Parsons’ New Studio Album “The Secret” Available Today on Frontiers Music Srl Video for “As Lights Fall” Out Now

Alan Parsons’ New Studio Album “The Secret” Available Today on Frontiers Music Srl Video for “As Lights Fall” Out Now

Grammy Award winning, legendary music icon and master of progressive rock, Alan Parsons has returned with a new album, “The Secret” which is out today via Frontiers Music Srl.

Additionally Alan has released a new video for the song “As Lights Fall,” directed by Patrick Read Johnson Watch it HERE: https://youtu.be/qImCjQ4K988
“I am very proud of The Secret album. It has taken many years to get to the occasion of its final release. It represents one of my lifelong passions – the craft of magic, says Alan Parsons.
He continues, “The album features some great material contributed by the members of my live band and I was thrilled to be able to works with Jason Mraz and Lou Gramm as guest vocalists, and with Steve Hackett as a guest guitar soloist. It also was also a pleasure to see a return performance by guitarist Ian Bairnson who played on all the Alan Parsons Project albums.
The video for ‘I Can’t Get There From Here’ was shot near my home in Santa Barbara. Many people including Serafino, the head of my record label – Frontiers, has said it brought him to tears, and does so every time he watches it.”
I am also delighted with the video for ‘As Lights Fall.’ I never thought I could be talked into singing in front of a camera for a music video, but Patrick Johnson made me feel very comfortable and even said that I had skills as an actor exclaims Parsons.
“It has been the honor of a lifetime to have been invited, by my dear friend, to be so deeply involved with “The Secret”. Between having my song, “I Can’t Get There From Here” share the stage with so many other wonderful works, to designing the album cover and inside art, to being able to collaborate with Alan, Lisa, and the amazing musicians, and audio wizards, who comprise his band, and production team, on our two videos…
I would say I’ve reached the summit, but for the fact that I’m pretty sure the magician known as Alan Parsons has quite a few more tricks up his sleeve,” says director Patrick Read Johnson.
Purchase “The Secret” in multiple formats and stream the album HERE: https://radi.al/AlanParsonsTheSecret
Available on CD, CD + DVD Audio Deluxe Edition (DVD includes Stereo Hi Definition Mix and 5.1 Surround Audio Mix), LP (Standard & Color), limited edition Box Set, and Digital. Box Set includes CD+DVD Deluxe Edition, 180g Gatefold Vinyl, the rare “LiveSpan” 2CD set, exclusive T-shirt (size: XL for US retailers, L for all European retailers), Poster, Numbered Lithograph (album cover).
Alan’s longtime hobby has been performing magic and this brand new album showcases his own passion for the craft, hence the title “The Secret.” The album sees a return to the pop rock sound with symphonic and progressive rock interludes which the Alan Parsons Project was known for.
With his long-standing previous APP collaborators, guitarist Ian Bairnson, drummer Stuart Elliott and orchestral arranger Andrew Powell, Alan dropped the “Project” identity for AlanParsons’ “Try Anything Once” in 1994. The partnership continued for “On Air” in 1996 and “The Time Machine” in 1999. During this time, the first incarnation of “Alan Parsons Live Project” toured extensively all over the globe. Following Alan’s relocation to California in 1999, a brand new Live Project band was formed in 2003. Another band reshuffle happened in 2010. The current live band consists of Alan on acoustic guitar, keyboards and vocals, P.J. Olsson on vocals, Tom Brooks on keyboards, Guy Erez on bass, Jeff Kollman on guitar and vocals, Danny Thompson on drums, Todd Cooper on sax, percussion and vocals, Dan Tracey on guitar and vocals.
Parsons’ last album “A Valid Path”, a unique foray into the world of electronica, was released in 2004.

Live Review: @anthrax Bring 40 Years of Metal Thrashing Madness To Chicago. By Christopher David When it comes to sustaining a career, forty years is a long time. And when that career involves constant touring, it becomes one hell of a long time. But you’d never know that it’s been forty years since thrash titans Anthrax landed and broke the mold for what a thrash band could be if you were basing it on Sunday’s raging performance at Chicago’s @radiuschicago club. ... #anthrax #Radius #40thanniversary #thrashmetal
