ChicagoMade 2018 A&R Auditions Application
A limited number ofArtits will be chosen to showcase their work for Music Industry Executives
The City of Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) invites Chicagoland-based artists and bands, age 14 and up, to apply for the 2018 ChicagoMade A&R Auditions, taking place at the Chicago Cultural Center (78 E. Washington St.) on Saturday, October 27, 2018, 11:30am–4 p.m. Application deadline is Tuesday, September 18 at 5 p.m.
A limited number of artists will be chosen to showcase their work live in front of A&R (Artist & Repertoire) executives from major and independent record labels to be considered for the following possible opportunities:
In conjunction with Chicago’s Year of Creative Youth, designated by Mayor Rahm Emanuel, this year’s ChicagoMade A&R Auditions will reduce the minimum age requirement to age 14, allowing younger artists to participate as well as adults. NOTE: A parent or guardian must accompany artists/bands under the age of 18 to the October 27 audition.

Artists/Bands Requirements
Artist/Bands must submit a completed application AND a two-minute live performance YouTube video before Tuesday, September 18, at 5pm, in order to be considered for an audition slot. Both the Application and the Audition are FREE.
A committee of industry professionals will review all submissions based on (in no particular order) stage presence, voice, originality and creativity to select the artists/bands to fill the very limited number of audition slots.

All music genres are welcome to apply and absolutely no walk-in auditions will be allowed on October 27. All participants will be selected in advance through this application process. DCASE does not guarantee any audition outcomes. If interested, music label representatives will contact participants directly.
