Bobby Talamine has been documenting music in Chicago and around the world for decades. A photographer in the grand tradition of capturing the moment and nailing the shot, we’ve had the pleasure of watching Bobby’s work throughout the history of the venue. Bobby was assaulted while working at a music festival this summer and in addition to being physically impacted had his most precious tools, his camera, stolen. The community has come together at an astounding rate to support Bobby to help him get back on his feet and back in the pit capturing iconic moments. On this night we are welcoming his friends into the Gman to play tunes while we project a sampling of his work on our stage. There will also be prints of Bobby’s work available for purchase. This is an evening to celebrate Bobby’s work and thank those in the community that came together to support him by doing what we all love, toasting music in all of its forms.
