Chicago’s Electro-rock quartet, Comasoft, have announced their latest EP “Gather at the End” will be released via Moth in a Flame on April 25th. The new EP will feature 5 new tracks including the singles “Numbing” and “Firebomb”.

The new EP is produced at BLVM3 Studios in Chicago. It features Ramirez alongside founding member Tomasz Banach plus Christopher Lee and Chris Cambell.

“Gather at the End” will be the band’s first new music released since 2023’s Finis Temporis and 2015’s “Let’s go All the Way” EP on WTII Records.

This new EP marks the 20th anniversary of their first Self Titled release on Moth in a Flame records. Over those 20 years the band has released 2 Full Length Albums, 4 Ep’s, and numerous singles including their college radio hit “10volt”. While over the years the band members may have changed, they still have managed to sound fresh and innovative in giving you glimpses of the Cure, Placebo, and Gary Numan while bathing the listener in 80’s neon. The new Romantic feel of Ramirez’s vocals blend and pulsate with walls of synthesizers and snarling guitars.

If you are somewhere between the age of a Generation X’er and Millennial, and are from Chicago, then you are used to seeing electro-glam bands such as Certain Distant Suns, the Assassins,Triple Fast Action, and Kill Hannah playing your favorite dark fog filled clubs on a regular basis. Well chances are good that you also caught Comasoft playing those very same haunts as well. In their heyday Comasoft could be found supporting such major label acts as Madina Lake, Hawthorne Heights, Breathe Carolina and the Presets along with the aforementioned Kill Hannah. Comasoft has also supported such dark electronic acts as IAMX, Apoptygma Berzerk, and even Stabbing Westward.

It was alongside Stabbing Westward this past November where Comasoft made their long awaited return to the stage in a sold out hometown show. Having made a huge impression on the crowd with their energetic set, Jay Ramirez and Comasoft chose not to quietly take the rest of the long Chicago Winter off, but instead were laser focused on finishing up their new EP and booking more shows in 2025. They now include a headlining show at Cobra Lounge on April 25th and supporting EBM legends Leaether Strip in Columbus, Ohio on July 11th. Comasoft are currently booking additional dates for the remainder of 2025 and will be announcing more soon.
