242 BAR: TUESDAY 11/12: MEDUSA’S NIGHT – FREETuesday will kick-off the pop-up bar with an OFFICIAL MEDUSA’S NIGHT. We thought this would be fitting to showcase the legendary Chicago club, since it was the first place to hear FRONT 242 on the dance floor and see them for their first US appearance in 1984.Original VJ, LEROY FIELDS will start the night out with classic videos and dance tracks from the MEDUSA’S video archive. Then original DJ, BUD SWEET, will keep the dance floor packed playing from the original Medusa’s playlist.Doors: 7p

Don’t be fooled, Wax Trax! night is not just playing music from a label, but ALL music from the store, label and sub-culture related. To do this night right, we are fortunate to have one of the greatest sub-culture treasures in Chicago, the incomparable SCARY LADY SARAH. Lucky for you, there is.Better wear your galoshes, there will be a lot of sweat on the dance floor these nights as Chicago DJ, BILL SAVELEY (Friday) packs the dance floor with favorites from the 80s, 90s, an beyond! Or join us Saturday as DJ STEVE HILL (10p) and JEFF MOYER (12a) blend the old and new as we say the final goodnight to an era. After 40 years, in Chicago it all comes down to the LAST song…of the LAST DJ set…after the LAST show.Doors: 8p
