It looks like spring has sprung (at least here in Chicago). As we barrel towards April, we wanted to get you all up to date on some WAX TRAX! news. We expect 2021 to be a very busy year so let’s not waste any time and get to a quick, but important update!

OUT OF LIGHT COMETH PRE-ORDERS

The pre-orders for the Wax Trax! COIL reissue of Love’s Secret Domain has been phenomenal.

The outpouring of support love for the official 30th anniversary edition has far exceeded our expectations. Thank you!

Just an FYI – Some of the limited editions are close to selling out. If you have been on the fence with this one, I wouldn’t wait too long. Many of these versions won’t be pressed again after this initial run.

As some of you may have noticed from a video post we teased last week, WAX TRAX! RECORDS will be joining forces with Chicago icons NAKED RAYGUN. We are so happy to be releasing the band’s first new full record in over 30 years.

The lineage and community is strong between these two entities. I’m sure some of you already know that Raygun drummer, Eric Spicer recorded for PAILHEAD. Or that bassist Pierre Kezdy played on the first official WAX TRAX! release – Strike Under’s Immediate Action EP.

But fun fact: Singer Jeff Pazzatti’s sister Patti was the first official employee of the label as well as being the mysterious woman who graced the cover of Ministry’s 12” – “Nature Of Love”.

In the early days NAKED RAYGUN would use the Lincoln Ave. storefront as a meet-up and band hang out for years. Our history together runs deep.

On Thursday, March 11, 2021 – NAKED RAYGUN will be performing a set of classic songs as well as new tracks from the upcoming album on our monthly live WAX TRAX! show, Channel 66 – Presented by VANS.

Please tune in to our WAX TRAX! Twitch Channel or at VANS CH66 at 6p Central time to see this special event with Chicago DJ Jena Max, hosted by me and Mike O’Connell, and of course, NAKED RAYGUN.
