It’s been 7 years since the release of his last studio album “National Ransom” that doesn’t mean Elvis Costello hasn’t been busy. He’s been working with other bands and artists and touring.
Monday is not necessarily the best day for a concert but Chicago weather cooperated beautifully. A warm summer evening with the light breeze and outdoor concert in Huntington Bank Pavilion on Northerly Island, but maybe this is the way to start the workweek.
The excitement was in the air it seemed like most of the people there were ready to sing all the songs together with the artist. Beer, wine, and vodka with lemonade probably helped to relax the public a little since there was no opening act and Elvis Costello & The Imposters went on stage a little after 8 pm.
You could find some empty seats, but for those that love his music and found time to get away from hassle and bustle of the week, this was the perfect evening spent in the city listening to some classics.
