<\/p>\n2112 Inc. and ChicagoMusic.org will host a reception on the opening night of PIGFACE 25.\u00a0Workshops, guided tours, presentations, gallery talks, popup\u00a0shops and performances are\u00a0scheduled throughout the exhibit.<\/p>\n
Further cause for celebration is the fifth anniversary of the SAE Chicago Music Business\u00a0Culminating Project, which prompts graduating students to collide with the real world head-on,\u00a0handson.<\/p>\n
The installation is open the public Thursdays 4pm 6pm,\u00a0Saturdays 11am 4pm\u00a0and by\u00a0appointment beginning April 1 through May 5. The opening reception is March 31st at 6pm.<\/p>\n

Pigface is an industrial music collective conceived during Ministry ‘s 1989-1990<\/p>\n
\u201c The Mind is a\u00a0Terrible Thing to Taste \u201d tour, Atkins , along with then Ministry\u00a0drummer Bill Rieflin , came up with\u00a0the idea. For each Pigface album, Atkins would assemble a new lineup reflecting the anarchistic\u00a0ideals of the original punk rock\u00a0bands of the mid70s.<\/p>\n

Martin Atkins sets the standard for entrepreneurs of cultural arts\u00a0endeavors, as his 30+ years\u00a0in the music business span across genres, borders and industries. Member of Public Image Ltd.\u00a0and Killing Joke, Atkins founded industrial supergroup Pigface, as well as The Damage Manual\u00a0and Murder Inc., and he has contributed to Nine Inch Nails and Ministry. He is the owner of\u00a0Invisible Records and Mattress Factory Recording Studios (est. 1988). Additionally, he is the\u00a0author of \u201cTour:Smart,\u201d a syndicated blogger and chair of the music business program at SAE\u00a0Chicago. Atkins is a producer, drummer, documentary filmmaker, DJ and father of four.<\/p>\n
Whatever the future of music is, you can pretty much bet that Martin Atkins will be in the middle\u00a0of it.\u00a0SAE Institute Chicago is a global provider of creative media education with over 50 campuses\u00a0in 27 countries.
