Eleanor Friedberger<\/strong>\u00a0just released her stunning third solo record\u00a0New View<\/em><\/strong>, and will be taking the album on the road next month. She will be playing in\u00a0Chicago<\/strong>\u00a0at The Empty Bottle<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a02\/24.<\/strong><\/p>\n

New View<\/em><\/strong>, out now via\u00a0Frenchkiss Records<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>is an exciting and masterfully crafted addition to\u00a0Eleanor Friedberger<\/strong>\u2019s already top-notch catalogue. After almost fifteen years as a quintessential Brooklyn musician,\u00a0Friedberger<\/strong>\u00a0recently relocated to upstate New York where this album was recorded in a converted studio barn, not far from\u00a0Friedberger<\/strong>\u2019s new home which was originally a knitting mill. The songs on\u00a0New View<\/em><\/strong>, which were inspired by many of\u00a0Friedberger<\/strong>\u2019s musical heroes such as Van Morrison, Neil Young, and Yoko Ono, were arranged with\u00a0Friedberger<\/strong>\u2019s backing band\u00a0Icewater\u00a0<\/strong>and recorded live to tape with producer\u00a0Clemens Knieper<\/strong>. The result is an album that feels like an instant classic upon first listen.<\/p>\n
