The\u00a0100-year-old Arcada Theatre<\/strong>\u00a0likely added some new cracks to its foundation on\u00a0Sunday night, October 14, 2026<\/strong>, hosting an absolute masterclass by guitar legend Robin Trower. The show was an easy\u00a0sell-out<\/strong>, drawing a dedicated, classic rock-loving crowd that packed the historic venue to the rafters.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Backed by a powerhouse band\u2014featuring the brilliant Richard Watts<\/strong>, who anchored the groove on bass while lending his soulful lead vocals, alongside the precise, thumping rhythms of drummer Chris Taggart<\/strong>\u2014Trower let his battered Fender Stratocaster do all the talking. There was zero need for modern stage flash; the venue was entirely consumed by raw emotion, deep grooves, and that iconic, swirling Univibe effect. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The night kicked off with the heavy-thumping groove of \u201cToo Rolling Stoned\u201d<\/strong> before transitioning into the fierce thunder of \u201cDay of the Eagle\u201d<\/strong> and the haunting, ominous depths of \u201cBridge of Sighs.\u201d<\/strong> The absolute crown jewel of the main set was a mesmerizing performance of \u201cDaydream,\u201d<\/strong> showcasing Trower’s slow-burning, psychedelic blues mastery with soaring, bent notes that left the spellbound crowd breathless. Trower then closed out the main performance by sending the energy through the roof, unleashing a blazing, high-voltage rendition of \u201cLittle Bit of Sympathy\u201d<\/strong> that pushed his Strat to the limit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yielding to the thunderous, persistent cheers of the packed house, Trower and his band returned to the stage for a spectacular two-song encore<\/strong>. They absolutely leveled the theater with the gritty riffage of \u201cThe Razor’s Edge\u201d<\/strong> before bringing the house down one final time with the sprawling, psychedelic epic \u201cBirdsong,\u201d<\/strong>sealing an unforgettable night of pure blues-rock royalty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
