2016 marks Lollapalooza’s 25th anniversary. \u00a0To mark the occasion, festival organizers have decided to extend the normally 3-day festival into 4 days. \u00a0They made the announcement today via social media and their website and also included pricing and packages for the annual Chicago tradition.<\/p>\n

“In celebration of\u00a025 years\u00a0as a world-renowned music festival, Lollapalooza is excited to announce an\u00a0additional full day of music\u00a0programming for the 2016 edition in Chicago\u2019s beautiful Grant Park, which will feature more than\u00a0170 musical performances\u00a0over\u00a0four days.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s our 25th Anniversary and we wanted to do something really special and different for our fans. There\u2019s a lot of really great music coming out in 2016; with the abundance of talent that wanted to help us celebrate 25 years we got to thinking\u2026\u2018How are we going to fit all those great artists in one weekend?\u2019 Then we thought about what a special day Thursday has become. When the party can\u2019t wait for the weekend, the movers and shakers make it happen on Thursday! So, we\u2019ve put together an entire additional day of music to celebrate our milestone year. It\u2019s going to be a fantastic party!\u201d said Lollapalooza founder,\u00a0Perry Farrell.<\/p>\n
Lollapalooza 2016 will take place\u00a0Thursday, July 28\u00a0and continue through\u00a0Sunday, July 31. Four-day General Admission tickets will be available for\u00a0$335\u00a0(including fees) and single day General Admission tickets will be available for\u00a0$120\u00a0(including fees) beginning Spring 2016.”<\/p>\n
