Yes, we’ve heard this before, C U LaTour for example, but for years now, Al Jourgensen has been adamant about hanging up his Industrial crown for numerous reasons. A decade ago we talked about thing like the were the world is at and going, politics and his age wanting to retire and enjoy life at home. Jourgensen loves what he does, and honestly it’s hard to believe that he will actually hang it all up, but as of today, they made an official announcement that appears to make it true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new album is coming out in October of this year, Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery) as well as a new music video for the song, Burned Out which visual runs the gamut on A.I. slop poking at how the world has become. This new album features something that so many have been waiting for, for so long, the return of Al’s lifelong friend, confidant and musical partner Paul Barker. While we don’t appear to get a full album of Hypo Luxa and Hermes Pan, it does end on a high note with the ironically titled final track, “We’re Still Here” outlined as a Paul Barker collaboration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This marks Ministry’s 17th studio release and is available for pre order in a variety of editions. While I don’t want to accept this is the end of Ministry, it could spawn something new or a possible other side project? Or maybe they’ll just stop touring? What ever the case, for now, this is the end Al has planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Done. Sayonara. Finito. However you want to say it,\u00a0Ministry<\/strong>\u00a0is coming to an end. But before bidding adieu, creator and music madman\u00a0Al Jourgensen\u00a0<\/strong>has a few final things to say about the state of the world, those in charge and how we should all collectively move forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He gets it all off his chest in Ministry\u2019s<\/strong> final album Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery)<\/em><\/strong> coming October 30<\/strong> on Cleopatra Records.<\/strong> Today, Ministry<\/strong> releases a first taste of the album with the single and video for single \u201cBurned Out.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 1981, Ministry <\/strong>and Jourgensen <\/strong>have been recognized as pioneers of industrial music with a history built upon 17 studio albums, 8 live releases, 8 side projects, multiple touring campaigns across 5 continents, an autobiography, 2 documentaries, the administration of last rites no less than 3 times, and the countless numbers of devoted acolytes and fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On marking the end of an era, Jourgensen<\/strong> shares, \u201cI\u2019m fucking done. I\u2019m proud of what I\u2019ve accomplished. I\u2019m amazed at the path that it\u2019s taken, from With Sympathy<\/em> to where we\u2019re at today, and all points in between. It\u2019s been quite a ride, but I\u2019m completely at peace with the fact that it\u2019s done. It\u2019s time to herd goats.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notably, Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery)<\/em><\/strong>\u2014Ministry\u2019s<\/strong> 17th<\/sup> release\u2014features one final collaboration with legacy memberPaul Barker<\/strong> on the final album track \u201cWe\u2019re Still Here,\u201d alongside the handiwork of current Ministry bandmates, guitaristsMonte Pittman<\/strong> and Cesar Soto<\/strong>, bassist Paul D\u2019 Amour,<\/strong> sampler\/synth player John Bechdel<\/strong> and drummer Pepe Clarke Maga\u00f1a.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
