But for a band built on chaos, reinvention, and unapologetic sleaze, another trip through Chicago felt perfectly on brand for the ‘Cheeky Freaky’ Tour.

With founder and mastermind Praga Khan once again steering the ship, the ever-changing lineup returned with former Butcher Babies vocalist Carla Harvey taking over lead vocal duties. Harvey brought a snarling confidence to the band’s classic material, balancing seductive theatrics with punk-metal aggression that fit surprisingly well alongside the group’s pulsing acid-house grooves.

The set leaned heavily into fan favorites, with tracks like “Pussy,” “Rough Sex,” “I Sit on Acid,” and “Out Comes the Evil” turning the packed room into a sweaty industrial dance floor. Older fans screamed every word while younger goth and rivethead converts bounced between moshing and dancing under Bottom Lounge’s flashing lights. The show moved fast, loud, and unapologetically dirty, exactly what longtime Lords of Acid fans came for.

For a band whose members have constantly rotated over the decades, it’s remarkable how consistent the experience remains.
