Aptly named One Last Time, this tour marks the planned end of Stewart’s decades-long run on the road, a bittersweet farewell to a career that has spanned over half a century.

From the moment Stewart stepped on stage, dapper in a white tuxedo jacket with open ruffle shirt, slim black trousers, and that unmistakable mop of spiky blond hair, the sold-out crowd knew they were in for something special. Opening with the roaring, feel-good “Infatuation,” Stewart’s voice still carried that signature raspy warmth that has defined him for generations. The video walls loaded with images of Stewarts past showcasing his illustrious career.

The setlist was a masterclass in nostalgia. Fans sang every word to “Maggie May,” their voices echoing across the amphitheater in unison, while “You’re In My Heart” had couples swaying and smiling under the summer sky. Stewart peppered the night with his covers, like his rendition of “I’d Rather Go Blind” brought both energy and sentiment and when he slid into “Stay With Me,” the audience erupted in cheers that felt like a collective embrace.

Midway through the show, Stewart took a seat to slow things down with “Have I Told You Lately” each note dripping with emotion. The amphitheatre, lit by thousands of phone flashlights, became a sea of twinkling lights, underscoring the moment’s gravity. He joked about his age, acknowledging he couldn’t kick soccer balls into the crowd as far as he used to, but his showmanship playful, charming, and effortlessly cool remained untouched.

One heartfelt moment came during the “Forever Young” song when a video played behind Stewart as a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne’s passing as well as numerous other rock legends we lost recently.

Near the end, he closed with the anthemic “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?” the crowd was on its feet, dancing, clapping, and refusing to let go of the moment while The O’Jay’s cover of “Love Train” capped off the set. For many in attendance, this was more than a concert, it was the closing chapter of a lifelong soundtrack.

As the lights dimmed and Stewart took his final bow in Tinley Park, he promised, “I’ll miss you, Chicago—thanks for a lifetime of love.” Judging by the roar that followed, the feeling was entirely mutual.

If this truly was Rod Stewart’s last visit, he left Chicagoland not with a whisper, but with a golden, glittering exclamation point.

For more on Rod Stewart, click here

Setlist: Rod Stewart live at Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre Tinley Park, IL – Aug 8th, 2025

Infatuation

Tonight I’m Yours

It’s A Heartache

Roll and Tumble Blues

It Takes Two

The First Cut Is The Deepest

Tonight’s The Night

Forever Young

The Motown Song

Young Turks

Maggie May

I’d rather Go BLind

Downtown Train

I’m Every Woman

If You Don’t Know Me By Now

You’re In My Heart

Have I Told You Lately

Proud Mary

Do Ya Think I’m Sexy

Stay With Me

Some Guys Have All The Luck

Love Train

By Harrison Kristoff On a warm Friday night, the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park was transformed into a glittering time capsule of rock and soul as 80-year-old Rod […]

[41,39,20
887,199,285,1585,369,1609,274,622
post-61929","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-features","category-music-news","category-reviews","tag-887","tag-chicago-music-news-live-venue-interviews-reviews","tag-concert-review","tag-credit-union-1-amphitheatre","tag-illinois","tag-rod-stewart","tag-tinley-park","tag-us
["GET
