The Linda Lindas made their triumphant return to the legendary Black Cat in Washington, D.C. and it was a SOLD-OUT show! The young punk band from California brought raw energy, charisma, and a whole lot of punk, with Baltimore\u2019s own Pinkshift kicking things off as the energizing supporting act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baltimore\u2019s own Pinkshift, known for their eclectic blend of punk, grunge, and indie rock, set the tone for the night with a high-energy set that had the crowd instantly fired up. Frontwoman Ashrita Kumar\u2019s vocals echoed throughout the venue and the band\u2019s unapologetic sound, they made it clear they\u2019re a band not to be reckoned with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then came The Linda Lindas, a punk powerhouse made up of four young musicians whose music is equal parts catchy, rebellious, and empowering. Every member got their moment on the mic proving how talented they are at blending riot grrrl vibes and fearless tunes.They\u2019re what punk looks like when it\u2019s powered by youth, inclusivity, and pure, unfiltered energy. With members in their early twenties, they\u2019re not just the future of punk \u2014 they\u2019re shaping the present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fans lined up well before doors opened, eager for the VIP experience, which included an exclusive look at The Linda Lindas during soundcheck. And from that moment on, the night was nothing short of magical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently on the final leg of their U.S. tour, The Linda Lindas are set to pick back up again in August with dates across France and the UK. The energy they brought to the stage was magnetic \u2014 commanding the room from start to finish with a set that had everyone dancing, singing, and completely in the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The crowd was as diverse as it was passionate, ranging from 4-year-olds to Gen Xwith a strong showing of young girls and boys who clearly saw themselves reflected in the band\u2019s fearless, fun vibe. The highlight of the night? The finale featured their raucous cover of \u201cRebel Girl\u201d by Bikini Kill, joined by Pinkshift \u2014 and the entire venue shouting along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
