<\/figure>\n\n\n\nThe night started out with a local DJ set by Andrew Hugh who mixed a set of new wave, pop, hip hop, and it was a perfect start to the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The opening set was performed by another talented local act, Urban Shaman Attack (USA). USA are described as a futuristic avant-garde jazz band. The 5-piece band played several long instrumental sets that included bells, saxophone, bass, flute, drums, hand drums, keyboard and shakers. The band did not disappoint and set the mood for the rest of a killer night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The night ended with Doom Dogs captivating the audience with their unpredictable sets. DD who are a genre-free improvising band that consists of Reeves Gabrels on guitar, Jonathan Kane on drums, and Jair-Rohm Parker Wells on bass and stick. Doom Dogs brought all their collective blues, jazz, rock, punk, experimental, and minimalist influences to create a mix of sound unique within the world of music and to this snowy night, as the trio improvised songs that will never be performed again which gave it a unique experience and it grasped every bit of attention you had. It was a an amazing way to end the night.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Gabrels is known of his time collaborating with David Bowie in the 1980\u2019s and 1990\u2019s and as a member of the Cure since 2012. Kane co-founded the Swans and went to work with minimalist legends La Monte Young and Rhys Chatham and lead his own trance-blues band, Jonathan Kane’s February.
