When it is a beautiful summer night in Indiana, what better place to go than a Fair. This fair is easy to navigate, has wonderful choices for food, and entertainment, even shopping if you are inclined. Plenty of parking and shuttle to and from your vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How often do you get to experience the Star Spangled Banner played on the Saxophone? The Porter County fair started off with a bang, Sawyer Brown style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Sawyer Brown opened the fair on the first night by featuring their new documentary \u201cGet Me to the Stage on Time\u201d. This documentary will be shown via Amazon Prime in September, but the crowd got a sneak peek, featuring Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley and Dolly Parton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Sawyer Brown has been performed for 40 years and still going strong, since winning the show \u201cStar Search\u201d hosted by Ed McMahon. This was the before the \u201cAmerican Idol\u201d show stole the spotlight for showcasing upcoming talent. When lead singer Mark Miller sang \u201cGoing back to Indiana, Indiana here I come.\u201d The crown went wild!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This shows was part of a 100 city tour to celebrate those 40 years of Road Doggin\u2019. The final date on the tour will be the 6000th show at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on October 1, 2024, which will feature Dierks Bentley\u2019s Hot County Knights band.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The show featured 2 songs from the new album Desperado Troubadours that was released in March of 2024. The title track and the super fast paced song \u201c Under this ole hat\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were stories from Mark Miller\u2019s book, The Boys and me: My life in the Country Music Supergroup Sawyer Brown, which was released in February 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The show featured tributes to their friends, John Anderson, Kenny Rogers, Toby Keith and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was even an auction of two Sawyer Brown signed guitars, the final bid was $3500.00 each, the proceeds were donated the food bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evening finale was a firework show. As we were walking the fairgrounds, one fairgoer said \u201cThese are better than the 4th\u00a0of July fireworks\u201d. My suggestion is to visit this fair. It runs daily through July 27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
