New York, NY \u2013 11th <\/span>January 2024 \u2013 Mul\udbc0\udd9f-pla\udbc0\udd9fnum and 2x GRAMMY-nominee K.Flay is kicking off 2024 with an intoxica\udbc0\udd9fng new single \u201cCarsick\u201d \u2013 out today via Giant Music, listen HERE<\/span>. Recorded during K.Flay\u2019s MONO album recording sessions, the song was writen and produced by K.Flay and frequent collaborator Jason Suwito (MisterWives, Imagine Dragons, Sir Sly). \u201cCarsick\u201d premiered today on Triple J radio in Australia where K.Flay will be touring in February and is accompanied by an official visualizer \u2013 watch HERE<\/span>. The clip was directed and edited by MILK Studios\u2019 Sonny Alvarez (Jason Mraz, Spencer Sutherland) and takes you on a disorienta\udbc0\udd9fng visual journey soundtracked by the mesmerizing \u201cCarsick.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

K.Flay\u2019s new studio album MONO <\/i>was released September 15, 2023 by Giant Music and is her fi\udbc0\udd4ch full-length and first since going deaf in her right ear at the end of August 2022. \u201cI started making this record as a person with two working ears. I finished it with only one,\u201d K.Flay shared in November when she released a mini-doc \u201cThe Making of MONO\u201d – watch HERE<\/span>. She added that the new album, \u201cis the culmina\udbc0\udd9fon of the major narra\udbc0\udd9fve strands in my life\u2014the loss of my biological father, my queerness, my fraught rela\udbc0\udd9fonship with alcohol, the struggle to find my place in the music industry, and of course, my sudden deafness.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Born Kris\udbc0\udd9fne Flaherty, K.Flay started rapping and wri\udbc0\udd9fng songs on a lark while atending Stanford University and soon began releasing her self-produced mixtapes. In 2017 she released her major label debut Ever Where Is Some Where that featured the iconic smash \u201cBlood in the Cut\u201d and propelled her to arenas around the world. As a songwriter, musician, and producer, she\u2019s lent her talents to numerous collabora\udbc0\udd9fons, working with Fitz and the Tantrums, Bishop Briggs, Tom Morello, Kaskade, grandson, The Regretes, and more.
