MUNA are at the top of their game and only getting better. The band just made their first ever Coachella appearance where they played an electric set including the debut of their brand new song \u201cOne That Got Away<\/a>.\u201d Fans who caught their Coachella debut this past weekend immediately went wild for the new song. Following its worldwide premiere earlier today as \u201cHottest Record In The World\u201d on BBC Radio 1, everyone can officially hear the song and watch the cinematic video directed by Ally Pankiw and Taylor James, starring Australian actor\/singer Caitlin Stasey alongside Katie, Josette and Naomi.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

Katie Gavin of MUNA had this to say about the new music: \u201cThis song is just rubbing your hot ass in the face of someone who messed up their chance of being with you. It\u2019s a bit vengeful and mean, but also fun. Fuck it. Once I sent Naomi and Jo the demo they really took the cockiness in the lyric and vocal performance and carried it to the extreme with the production of the track. It became this super bombastic, Janet Jackson-era track. Ally Pankiw, who directed the music video with Taylor James, then came up with the idea of putting the music video in a criminal underworld, which we thought fit perfectly.\u00a0 Plus we wanted an excuse to dress Jo up like The Bear.\u201d<\/p>\n

Billboard<\/a> called MUNA\u2019s Coachella performance, where they live-debuted \u201cOne That Got Away\u201d and were also joined on stage with boygenius to perform \u201cSilk Chiffon,\u201d \u201cone of the best jam sessions of the day \u2014 and perhaps weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n

MUNA\u2019s live show is so undeniably compelling that it landed the band on nine of Taylor Swift\u2019s The Eras US tour dates, the first of which they played at the end of March. They spent the earlier part of March in Australia where they supported Lorde and co-headlined Sydney WorldPride. Also while in Australia and in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Celine Dion\u2019s hit \u201cMy Heart Will Go On,\u201d the band delivered a spellbinding and emotional cover of the song for Triple j\u2019s Like a Version.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

In between Coachella and Taylor Swift dates, MUNA are on their very own headline tour which is close to being a complete sell out. The tour includes Bonnaroo Music Festival, Capitol Hill Block Party and a performance with Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater in Austin later this month.
