Critically acclaimed rock trio Meet Me @ The Altar have released their highly-anticipated debut album Past \/\/ Present \/\/ Future<\/a>. The record arrives alongside a vulnerable music video for focus track \u201cTMI<\/a>,\u201d which is streaming now on the official Fueled By Ramen YouTube channel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted to make a video that shows me at my most vulnerable place: completely without makeup where I am my true natural self,\u201d shares singer Edith Victoria on \u201cTMI.\u201d \u201cThe song is about low self-esteem, anxiety, and self-hatred. I know everyone experiences these deep emotions, so I made it my mission to let people know that they are not alone in it. It\u2019s normal to have trouble accepting yourself, flaws and all \u2013 I wanted everyone to know that they aren\u2019t alone in their darkness.\u201d<\/p>\n

Calling upon iconic producer John Fields (Jonas Brothers, P!NK, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato), the 11-track album sheds any notion of sonic limitations. The band explains of the record: \u201cThe things we hold from our past inform who we are now and where we might go. This album pays homage to the music we loved growing up while reflecting our modern-day lives, sounds, and experiences.\u201d Past \/\/ Present \/\/ Future is available now<\/a> via Fueled By Ramen.<\/p>\n

In January, Meet Me @ The Altar announced Past \/\/ Present \/\/ Future on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where the band also made their late-night television performance debut playing a walloping rendition of their single \u201cSay It (To My Face)<\/a>.\u201d In addition to soundtracking a national ad campaign for Taco Bell<\/a>, the track received widespread critical praise, with Stereogum hailing it as a \u201cbanger\u201d and celebrating its \u201c…soaring, shout-along choruses and chunky guitar.\u201d NYLON praised the group\u2019s \u201cspirited pop-punk,\u201d while Them raved, \u201c\u2018Say It To My Face\u2019 \u2026 brings all the angst and riffs without sacrificing earworm melodies.\u201d Meanwhile, Alternative Press crowned the single a \u201cpop-punk power statement.\u201d Watch the song\u2019s music video on Fueled By Ramen\u2019s YouTube channel HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Last month, the band unveiled the album\u2019s second single \u201cKool<\/a>,\u201d which Billboard hailed as \u201c…brash and confident \u2014 the sound of a pop-rock trio growing into the stature of its fat riffs and cymbal rides.\u201d UPROXX proclaimed, \u201c…every second is nothing short of fun.\u201d The group followed up the release with a dynamic performance of \u201cKool<\/a>\u201d on The Kelly Clarkson Show, marking their daytime performance debut. Leading up to release, Past \/\/ Present \/\/ Future was named one of 2023\u2019s most anticipated releases by NYLON, UPROXX, Consequence, Them, Essence, and more.<\/p>\n

Last week, Meet Me @ The Altar embarked on the \u201cPast \/\/ Present \/\/ Future Tour,\u201d which kicked off with a sold-out performance at New York City\u2019s Gramercy Theatre. The trek will visit major markets coast-to-coast \u2013 including a sold-out date at The Echo in Los Angeles \u2013 and wrap on April 4 in Orlando, FL (tour itinerary below). Past \/\/ Present \/\/ Future follows Meet Me @ The Altar\u2019s critically acclaimed major label debut EPModel Citizen<\/a>, which was released in 2021 via Fueled By Ramen. Rolling Stone hailed the EP\u2019s lead single \u201cFeel A Thing<\/a>\u201d as \u201ca blistering track filled with flurries of double-kick drum hits and crunchy guitar riffs.\u201d The FADER touted the track as \u201cwidescreen and anthemic,\u201d while UPROXX declared the song \u201ca reminder of why pop-punk became so popular in the first place.\u201d Additional praise came from Consequence<\/a> who featured the band as their Artist of The Month, and The New York Times Magazine<\/a> who profiled the group following the EP\u2019s release.<\/p>\n
