LONDON \u2014 The Swedish dance quartet ABBA, one of the most successful pop groups in history, announced that for the first time in four decades, they have reunited for new music and a new live (well sort of) show.<\/p>\n
The concert will see the members of ABBA \u2013 Agnetha, Bj\u00f6rn, Benny and Anni-Frid \u2013 perform in a purpose-built theater in London as digital versions of themselves, supported by a 10-piece live band.<\/p>\n
The digital versions of the group, created with the extensive use of motion capture technology, were developed by a team from Industrial Light & Magic, the company founded by George Lucas, in what is the company\u2019s first foray into music.<\/p>\n
Dubbed the ABBA Voyage, the show will open May 27th, 2022, at the ABBA Arena, a state-of-the-art 3,000 capacity arena located at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.<\/p>\n
The show will also feature music drawn from ABBA\u2019s catalog of fan favorites, including hits such as \u201cDancing Queen\u201d, \u201cThe Winner Takes It All\u201d and \u201cTake a Chance on Me\u201d as well as music from a brand new studio album, the first from ABBA in more than 40 years, that will be released by Capitol Records on November 5th.<\/p>\n

Tickets for ABBA Voyage are available from 10am Sunday September 5th for fans who have pre-ordered the album from the official ABBA store, and from 10am Monday,\u00a0 September 6th for those who have pre-registered. General on sale commences 10am Tuesday September 7th.<\/p>\n
