On January 24th, 2020 House of Vans Chicago is excited to announce it will offer an immersive art experience curated by Chaz Bear<\/a>\u00a0the mastermind behind musical project Toyo Y Moi as part of\u00a0Vans<\/a>\u00a0Customade<\/a>\u00a0. The launch party will engage guests with artwork from the collaboration alongside an analog liquid light show by\u00a0Mad Alchemy<\/a>\u00a0and DJ sets by\u00a0Toro Y Moi<\/a>\u00a0and friends, including Chaz Bear and\u00a0A. Chazwick “Chaz” Bear was born in Columbia, South Carolina and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. Known professionally as Toro y Moi, the singer, songwriter and record producer has garnered widespread critical acclaim since 2010.<\/div>\n

Although he has an active music career, Chaz has always maintained a consistent practice of painting and design. In 2016, Bear founded Company Studio. Based in Oakland, California, Company Studio applies a multidisciplinary approach to a wide variety of both self-initiated and commissioned art and design projects. The studio additionally serves as the in house visual department for Bear\u2019s record imprint, Company Records.<\/div>\n
