Fest in <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong><em>Millennium Park on Saturday, September 21<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot, First Lady Amy Eshleman and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) are pleased to announce the <strong>2019 Rising Star Honor Roll presented by Allstate. <\/strong>Thirty-five outstanding young artists will be recognized for their creative leadership and exceptional artistic talents during a private reception tonight, August 5, at the Chicago Cultural Center. These young artists were nominated directly by their mentors from arts organizations, school arts programs and community organizations in the following areas: music,theatre, dance, visual arts, media arts and literary arts. The full list of 2019 Rising Star honorees and nominating organizations follows.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s Rising Star honorees represent a vibrancy of creative life and arts education from all across the city. These Rising Stars will also be recognized at the <strong>2<sup>nd<\/sup> Annual<\/strong> <strong>YAS! Fest<\/strong> (Youth Arts Showcase) on Saturday, September 21, in Millennium Park. The celebration of Chicago\u2019s talented, creative youth features young artists in music, dance, theatre, spoken word, DJs, design, photography and more.
