Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets early, as prices for each seating area will go up by $5 on June 1 ($20 for general admission and $45 for premium seating) and again on July 1 ($25 for general admission and $50 for premium seating).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In addition to premium seating, the Taste Oasis will offer prime concert viewing experience in a lounge setting complete with a private cash bar, complimentary bottled water, appetizers and more from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Petrillo Music Shell. Limited tickets are available for $50. Her most recent release to create buzz is the 2018 album <em>Tell Me How You Really Feel.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>New York City-based rock band,<strong> Sunflower Bean<\/strong>, featuring Nick Kivlen (guitar\/vocals), Jacob Faber (drums) and Julia Cumming (bass\/lead vocals) recently released a new EP <em>King Of The Dudes<\/em> which includes the hit single \u201cCome For Me<em>.<\/em>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, July 11, 5:30 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Colombian dance band <strong>Bomba Est\u00e9reo<\/strong> and Puerto Rican <strong>Cultura Prof\u00e9tica<\/strong> will co-headline the Petrillo Music Shell.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Described as &#8220;electro tropical&#8221; or &#8220;psychedelic cumbia,&#8221;\u00a0<strong>Bomba Est\u00e9reo\u00a0<\/strong>is named for the Colombian slang for &#8220;a really cool, awesome, bad ass party\u201d according to Sim\u00f3n Mej\u00eda, who founded the group in 2005 alongside singer Li Saumet. The group built up a discography of multiple hits and five albums, which include\u00a0their\u00a0Grammy<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0Award-nominated records\u00a0<em>Amanecer (2015)\u00a0<\/em>and<em>\u00a0Ayo (2017)<\/em>. Their music is known for anthems like &#8220;Soy Yo,<em>&#8220;<\/em> \u00a0&#8220;Fuego,<em>&#8220;<\/em> \u00a0&#8220;Somos Dos,<em>&#8221; \u00a0&#8220;<\/em>To My Love<em>&#8220;<\/em>\u00a0and the recently-released hit single\u00a0<em>\u201c<\/em>Carnavalera.<em>\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cultura Prof\u00e9tica<\/strong> was formed in 1996 with an unwavering fanbase not only within their home Puerto Rico but also around the world. Their 2019 album <em>Rattlesnake<\/em> is a collection of sleek, bright songs that elevate their sound to frenzied new heights, with the lead single &#8220;Salvation&#8221; gaining traction on Billboard&#8217;s Alternative Songs chart.<\/p>\n<p><strong>lovelytheband<\/strong> is a musical trio of vocalist Mitchy Collins, guitarist Jordan Greenwald and drummer Sam Price. The band is best known for their 2017 hit debut single &#8220;Broken,&#8221; released in 2017, which topped the Billboard Alternative Songs chart among others. In 2018 the band released the single &#8220;These Are My Friends\u201d along with their debut album, <em>Finding It Hard to Smile<\/em>. They have recently released, \u201cMaybe I\u2019m Afraid.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joywave<\/strong>, the New York-based indie quintet led by vocalist Daniel Armbruster, apply their trademark irreverence and humor. They are known for their collaboration with electronic music project\u00a0Big Data on &#8220;Dangerous,&#8221; which peaked at number one on the\u00a0Billboard\u00a0Alternative Songs\u00a0chart.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>S<\/strong><strong>unday, July 14, 4:30 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>India.Arie<\/strong>, the multi-award winning artist, including four Grammy<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Awards will bring her 2019 Worthy Tour to Taste of Chicago for the final performance at the Petrillo Music Shell. Released earlier this year, her new album <em>Worthy<\/em> showcases the singer-songwriter\u2019s perspectives on love, life and humanity. The album\u2019s hit singles include \u201cThat Magic,\u201d the title track \u201cWorthy\u201d and the inspirational \u201cWhat If\u201d a moving tribute to civil rights activists Dr. Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks and present day movements like #MeToo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The multi-talented <strong>Meshell Ndegeocello<\/strong> will bring her brand of neo-soul including her latest album, <em>Ventriloquism. <\/em>The collection of eleven covers that include reimagined versions of \u201cWaterfalls,\u201d \u201cSmooth Operator\u201d and a sultry rendition of \u201cPrivate Dancer.\u201d Opening the stage on the final day is <strong>Bilal<\/strong>, nominated for a Grammy<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Award for his 2010 song \u201cLittle One.\u201d The singer-songwriter is noted for his new soul sound generated by projects across multiple genres.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Goose Island S<\/strong><strong>t<\/strong><strong>age\u2013a \u201ctaste\u201d of Chicago\u2019 s Best Music<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The popular <strong>Goose Island Stage <\/strong>at the <strong>Taste of Chicago <\/strong>will offer five days of performances by Chicago\u2019s best up-and-coming and established artists. renowned Second City, Porchlight Musical Theatre and other sketch an improve groups. The area will highlight family performances early in the day along with interactive workshops and performances organized by Pocket Con, an annual convention for Chicago youth that highlights comics and illustration work by diverse artists. The Theatre Garden area will be designed by local artists Emmanuel Pratt (Sweet Water Foundation) and Anna Kunz (Columbia College Chicago\/Tiger Strikes Asteroid).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Chicago\u2019s very own Kit Kat Lounge and Supper Club will present <em>The Mermaid Diva Show<\/em> on the west side of Buckingham Fountain each day at 3 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>SummerDance at Taste of Chicago<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Chicago SummerDance, the largest annual outdoor live music and dancing series in the United States, will move to Buckingham Fountain Plaza during <strong>Taste of Chicago<\/strong>, each day of the festival from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dances and music highlights include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>July 10: Steppin\u2019 with DJ Calvin<\/li>\n<li>July 11: Motown with Lynne Jordan &amp; The Shivers<\/li>\n<li>July 12: Salsa with Willito Otero y su Orquesta<\/li>\n<li>July 13: House with DJ Chip E.<\/li>\n<li>July 14: Country Two-step with The Lawrence Peters Outfit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The series typically offers a free, introductory one-hour dance lesson by professional instructors followed by live music and dancing. The House Music night on July 13 will go right into the DJ set, without the dance instruction.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>NEW Silent Disco by HUSHconcerts<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the day, everyone is invited to test out the dance floor at Buckingham Fountain Plaza daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at a silent disco powered by HUSHconcerts. After getting a set of headphones, participants dance along to tunes from one of two DJs spinning different genres.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>NEW Taste Playground<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Families and kids will enjoy the Taste of Chicago Playground located on the west side of Columbus Drive.\u00a0Back this year is the Ferris Wheel along with an array of inflatables for kids. Tickets for rides will be available for purchase on site.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The music and entertainment announcement comes weeks after Taste of Chicago previously announced the culinary lineup and new presenting sponsor DoorDash, the largest and fastest-growing on-demand destination for door-to-door delivery in more than 4,000 cities in the United States and Canada. DoorDash connects Chicagoans with their favorite stores and restaurants, including many restaurants participating in this year\u2019s Taste of Chicago festival.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Taste of Chicago is presented by DoorDash and produced by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events in coordination with the Illinois Restaurant Association, which manages food and beverage operations.
