The Dandy Warhols celebrate their jubilee year by dropping their appropriately-titled<\/strong> \u201cWhy You So Crazy\u201d<\/em><\/strong> LP on January 25th. <\/strong>Has it really been\u00a0a quarter of a century? <\/strong>Most of the songs from their vast catalog don\u2019t seem to have aged a day. Timeless and classic, t<\/strong>here’s no denying that these <\/strong>indie darlings have longevity, and in this ‘here one day, gone the next’ musical landscape, that\u2019s indeed something to celebrate.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Have you had a chance to listen yet? \u00a0Whether you dig the Dandys’ gritty or glittery, this new record delivers on all fronts. Their new single \u201cMotor City Steel<\/a>\u201d is out tomorrow, January 11th, with the video premiering on Tuesday January 15th. It\u2019s full of their eccentricities and is a little reminiscent of Iggy Pop’s version of “Real Wild Child (Wild One)’. Described by the quartet as a return to their \u201cfreewheeling fashion\u201d, there\u2019s no stylistic boundaries here except good-hearted and heated rock n roll. The album features 12 songs that pack in references as far flung as Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, Don MacLean\u2019s Chevy, and the church of Bowie\u2019s “Modern Love”.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
