Hedford left in 1998 and was replaced by Taylor-Taylor&#8217;s cousin\u00a0<a title=\"Brent DeBoer\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Brent_DeBoer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brent DeBoer<\/a>. The band&#8217;s name is a play on the name of American\u00a0<a title=\"Pop art\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pop_art\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pop artist<\/a>\u00a0<a title=\"Andy Warhol\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Andy_Warhol\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Andy Warhol<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The band gained recognition after they were signed to\u00a0<a title=\"Capitol Records\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Capitol_Records\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Capitol Records<\/a>\u00a0and released their major label album debut,\u00a0<i><a title=\"...The Dandy Warhols Come Down\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/...The_Dandy_Warhols_Come_Down\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8230;The Dandy Warhols Come Down<\/a><\/i>, in 1997. In 2001, the band rose to new levels of fame after their song &#8220;<a title=\"Bohemian Like You\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bohemian_Like_You\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bohemian Like You<\/a>&#8221; enjoyed extensive exposure thanks to its being featured in a\u00a0<a title=\"Vodafone\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vodafone\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vodafone<\/a>advertisement. The Dandy Warhols have released eight studio albums to date.<\/p>\n<p>The Dandy Warhols have already established themselves as musical icons with their songs \u201cBohemia\\n Like You,\u201d \u201cNot If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth,\u201d and \u201cWe Used To Be Friends.\u201d In August of 2008 they released Earth To The Dandy Warhols, their sixth full-length album, on their own label Beat The World Records. Released initially as part of a subscription service that also gave members access to the exclusives through the rest of the year, the album was followed by a successful world tour.
