Charlie Daniels comes to Tailgates N\u2019 Tallboys taking Peoria, IL by storm. Literally, the rains came and went throughout the festival and you could hear the thunder roll between the bands and see the clouds billow as high as the guitar notes that trilled through the downtown waterway.<\/p>\n
I have seen Charlie Daniels several times over the years and every time is better than the last time. Charlie continues to be one of the most amazing performers in music. When you see Charlie live in concert you can count on being entertained, by a man who respects God, country, our military, and who can play the audience as well as his can play his fiddle.<\/p>\n
He performed his hits “In America”, “The Legend of Wooley Swamp”, “Simple Man” and “Long Haired Country Boy” during his hour long performance. Charlie also mentioned his first meeting \u201clarger than life\u201d Johnny Cash and performed “Folsom Prison Blues”.<\/p>\n
Always a favorite part of the show is when Charlie shows off the band members individual musical talent in the songs, “Black Ice” and the “William Tell Overture”.<\/p>\n
Charlie closed out the night with his signature song \u201cThe Devil went down to Georgia\u201d. The crowd was rockin\u2019 and even the security staff was dancing to Charlie Daniels hit as the night ended at the Peoria Riverfront park.<\/p>\n
The two acts preceding Charlie Daniels at Tailgates N\u2019 Tallboys\u00a0 were Keith Anderson, and Sawyer Brown, and they definitely were a perfect combination on this show with Charlie.<\/p>\n
