It’s real, raw, sweaty, total energy rock and roll, like a bunch of 40-to-70-year-old punks on a meth power trip.”

Kick Out the Jams is recognized as the galvanizing live document that introduced a major voice of late ’60s counterculture and proved incomparably influential on metal, punk, stoner rock, and almost every other form of loud, limitless, long-haired music to come. The recording took place just months after the band’s appearance at Chicago’s riotous 1968 Democratic National Convention — a pivotal moment in modern American politics.

Says Kramer of revisiting Kick Out The Jams: “Today, there is a corrupt regime in power, an endless war thousands of miles away, and uncontrollable violence wracking our country. It’s becoming less and less clear if we’re talking about 1968 or 2018. I’m now compelled to share this music I created with my brothers 50 years ago. My goal is that the audience leaves these concerts fueled by the positive and unifying power of rock music.”

———ON SALE FRIDAY 4/6 @ 10AM———
Wednesday, October 24:
MC50 Presents KICK OUT THE JAMS – THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR
$37.50 General Admission – $150 Tables For Two – $150 VIP Package / 18 & Over // Doors: 7PM / Show: 8PM

General Admission Ticket Link: https://www.etix.com/ticket/p/8722426/mc50-presents-kick-out-the-jams-the-50th-anniversary-tour-chicago-metrochicagoil

Table Ticket Link: https://www.etix.com/ticket/p/5547440/mc50-presents-kick-out-the-jams-the-50th-anniversary-tourvip-tables-chicago-metrochicagoil

VIP Ticket Link: https://www.etix.com/ticket/p/4522703/mc50-presents-kick-out-the-jams-the-50th-anniversary-tourvip-package-chicago-metrochicagoil

VIP PACKAGE DETAILS
-One (1) general admission floor ticket
-Join Wayne Kramer for a no-holds-barred conversation before the show (no topic off limits) including an exclusive look into Wayne’s personal guitar collection
-Personal photo with Wayne Kramer
-One (1) first edition autographed copy of the upcoming memoir, The Hard Stuff: Dope, Crime, The MC5, & My Life Of Impossibilities (Da Capo Press)
-One (1) limited-edition 18”x24” custom tour poster designed by renowned artist Chuck Sperry
-One (1) custom Kick Out the Jams anniversary tour merchandise gift bag
-Early entry into the venue
-On-site experience host

MC50 ANNOUNCE “KICK OUT THE JAMS: THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR” STOP AT METRO The supergroup features MC5 founding guitarist Wayne Kramer, Kim Thayil (Soundgarden), Brendan Canty (Fugazi), Dug Pinnick (King’s […]

[39,41,20

post-25746","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-music-news","category-features","category-reviews
["GET
