White Mystery<\/a>\u00a0is brother-sister rock\u2019n\u2019roll duo\u00a0Miss Alex White<\/a>\u00a0&\u00a0Francis Scott Key White<\/a>\u00a0from Chicago.<\/p>\n

(from the bands Facebook page)\u00a0If you’re a fan of stripped down garage rock, loud drums, and\/or redheads, meet your perfect match in White Mystery. Garage-soul spitfires Miss Alex White and Francis Scott Key White are siblings who tour worldwide, earn rave reviews from MTV, VICE, NPR Sound Opinions, Pitchfork \u2013 and even model for Levi\u2019s jeans. Born and raised in Chicago, the duo is renowned for high-energy shows, fierce independence, and annual album releases \u201cBlood & Venom,\u201d \u201cPeople Power,\u201d \u201cTelepathic,\u201d “Dubble Dragon\u201d and psychedelic film soundtrack, \u201cThat Was Awesome.”<\/span><\/p>\n

White founded her current group, White Mystery, with her brother Francis on April 20, 2008. White Mystery is known for their relentless tour schedule in which White claims to have played 300 shows in the band\u2019s first three years. The group has played with national acts such as Garbage,\u00a0Shonen Knife, The Stooges and Weezer.\u00a0They played on a parade float with Sir Richard Branson for the grand opening of Virgin Hotels Chicago.\u00a0The group has released 5 full-length albums as of 2015.<\/p>\n

White cites Poison Ivy from The Cramps as being one of her biggest influences. White said in a 2011 interview,\u00a0\u201cPoison Ivy is definitely my guitar role model. She\u2019s a beautiful redheaded woman who was who she was. Her relationship with Lux was similar to Francis and me; they could hang out for hours and not get sick of each other.\u201d She also lists Patti Smith, The MC5 and Garbage as other influences to her sound and style.<\/p>\n

Recently, White Mystery played at the iconic\u00a0children’s television show Chic-A-Go-Go’s 1000th episode. \u00a0Ms Mia and Ratso hosted a celebration party at\u00a0The Promontory in Hyde Park. \u00a0They are regulars on the show so it was only natural that they help celebrate the milestone with other Chicago legends.<\/p>\n

The band will be playing all over town this summer including Riot Fest and this weekends Rock N Roll market. \u00a0https:\/\/do312.com\/rocknrollmarket<\/a>. \u00a0How they’re not a part of Redhead Festival, I’ll don’t understand, but there’s always next year. \u00a0https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/RHDchicago<\/a><\/p>\n
